Roles and Responsibilities
Independent handling: To work with minimum or no supervision handling 12-16 FTEs (single collaboration or multiple collaboration).
Project execution support, as required: Scale up of reactions, suitable reagents, work up conditions, analysis of the results, logical and quick solutions as part of troubleshooting and coordination with CFTs like stores, logistics, engineering & SCM etc.
Managing client expectations: Weekly deliveries, route scouting & optimization, chemistry planning with respect to number of reactions, scale-up synthesis of key intermediates, literature search etc.
Laboratory maintenance: Assigning responsibilities to chemists for good maintenance of laboratory, ensure safety practices in place, maintenance of chemist cabin (no structures outside, LNBs are properly arranged etc.,), glassware breakage record ad monthly review and chemical inventory file and quarterly review.
Preparation of quotations and proposals.
Documentation: Review of weekly reports, experimental, minutes of the meeting, reagent tracker, ELN and other miscellaneous documents.
To percolate information from the department to the team and support for thorough implementation.
Active participation in all department initiatives, bi-weekly group discussions, monthly seminars and various meetings organized for the improvement of services and department maintenance.
Team management: Mentoring-mechanism, analysis of the outcomes, preparation of various documents, literature search and trouble shooting.
Team development: Identify skills and mentor associates; assign responsibilities and follow up; feedback at regular intervals and maintain a record
